Planning Your Trip The first step to planning your trip is deciding on a route. You can choose to go around the entire archipelago or just take a few days and visit some of the most popular islands along the way. If you're going to be traveling by car, it's best to make sure that there are ferries available between each island so that you can reach them all without having to backtrack too much. Once you've chosen where in Finland's Archipelago region you want to go, book accommodations ahead of time so that they don't sell out before your arrival! Many hotels require reservations months in advance during peak season (July-August). If possible, try booking rooms at hostels as well--they tend not only have cheaper rates but also provide more opportunities for interaction with other travelers from around the world!
